so despite the subject line, i was a bit of a busy bee yesterday! um, in the morning i had a rummage through the family jewels—grandiose name tho that is for them!—& rediscovered my… great-grandmother’s, i think, perfume ball necklace:
the blue ball unscrews, and inside is a bit of sponge that you’re meant to saturate with perfume, and then it sort of wafts out slowly...

omg, you guys, how much do i love these shoes?
the answer is A LOT, let me tell you. they’re a size too small for me—which is prolly good, let’s be honest, because it takes away the temptation to actually get them!—but mmm, am i enjoying ogling. so fresh! so citrusy! :D also, check out these skirts—& last but not least, a darling little fur cap!

but i just had no intention of living this way
so yesterday morning i gave sleep a good go, but was thoroughly unsuccessful, so at like 5:30 i went for a run. this was especially hilarious (says she facetiously) because the path around the reservoir was basically one big puddle, so i was weaving back & forth most of the time & periodically hopping, sigh. on the bright side the wildlife were out in full force at that hour, so besides...
